Quality Time Activities

Most of us would like to spend more time with our kids; but with all the demands on our time- school, work, friends, after-school activities- it may seem like we're constantly driving from activity to activity with no real time to connect with our loved ones.

Each month, the Family Focus section will feature a new activity that you can try out with your kids. These activities are designed to encourage you to spend quality time with your kids and to open up the lines of communication. The activities will also help to reinforce those important character traits and build your child's self-esteem.

1 1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs

3/4 cup M&M’s Spring Mix

  3. Start stirring in chocolate chips and M&M’s. Be sure not to beat so that they remain whole.
  4. Pour batter into baking dish and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool on a wire rack and put into the refrigerator for about half an hour.
